Virtual Disability Insights
Disability inclusion isn’t about being an expert in every type of disability, that’s impossible. It’s about having the confidence to engage with individuals, understand how they work best, and explore the support that enables them to thrive.
Our Disability Insight sessions each spotlight a different disability, helping us learn more about the experiences we often understand the least. Through lived experiences and open conversation, we’ll explore the challenges individuals face, how they’ve overcome them, common workplace barriers, and the types of support that make a difference.
You’ll hear directly from a panel of speakers who will share their expertise, personal journeys and insights. Their stories will help attendees anticipate needs, remove barriers, and create inclusive environments where everyone can perform at their best.
These interactive and thought-provoking sessions offer a safe space to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and strengthen your disability confidence. You’ll gain practical ideas for meaningful adjustments, hear how organisations are successfully supporting disabled employees, and learn approaches to embedding inclusion into everyday workplace culture.

Speakers
Alice Edwards
Alice Edwards is a Security Engineer at Skyscanner and co-chair of RISE Understood, Skyscanner’s disability and neurodiversity employee resource group.
Alice lives with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), a hidden and fluctuating disability that took years to be formally recognised. She also experiences anxiety and identifies with strong autistic and ADHD traits, although she has not received formal diagnoses. These experiences have shaped her understanding of disclosure, workplace adjustments and the importance of recognising that people’s capacity and support needs can change over time.
Through RISE Understood, Alice shares her personal experiences, supports colleagues with lived experience and works to make Skyscanner more accessible. She has helped introduce adjustments passports, create quiet rooms, build relationships with disability-inclusive local businesses and promote intersectional awareness alongside other employee resource groups.
Alice is particularly passionate about helping employers understand that hidden disabilities are not always apparent, and that fluctuating capacity should be met with trust, flexibility and practical support.
