Training for Employability Teams

We partner with University Employability Teams to strengthen your knowledge, confidence and practical capability in supporting the growing number of disabled students in Higher Education to make a successful transition from education into employment.

Our training equips your team with the insight, language and practical tools to better advise, prepare and empower disabled students navigating recruitment and the early stages of their careers.

All sessions are bespoke and tailored to your institution’s priorities, challenges and student demographic.

We provide specialist consultancy support to universities seeking to strengthen equitable employment outcomes, including targeted projects aligned to your Access & Participation Plan.

Working in partnership with Employability, Careers and Widening Participation teams, we are able to design & deliver practical, evidence-informed solutions that create meaningful impact for disabled students and the wider student community.

    • Design & development of resources including videos, work sheets, & ‘cheat sheets’ on topics including disclosure, adjustments and workplace transition

    • Tailored career development programmes

    • Employer training sessions to strengthen disability confidence and inclusive recruitment

    • Training videos, toolkits and train-the-trainer packs for careers staff

    • Bespoke employer resources, workshops and toolkits to improve inclusive hiring and progression

  • The MyPlus Disability Confidence on Campus Toolkit provides information and guidance to employability staff and careers advisers who are supporting students with disabilities as they search for placements, internships and graduate roles. 

    The Toolkit includes:

    • Common employment challenges faced by disabled student

    Staff development session

    • Digital training covering the 5 pillars of disability confidence on campus

    Student skills sessions:

    • Designed for use by staff with your students and cover the ‘how to’ of job attainment with a disability

    • Include comprehensive ‘Train the Trainer’ guides

    Conversation Cards

    • Designed for Careers Staff to use with disabled students to help them navigate the common challenges they face as they apply for jobs and navigate the recruitment process.

    The cost to purchase the Toolkit is £2,450 + VAT; this is a one-off cost.

    Our membership-based service provides the expertise, resources, and community needed to drive tangible progress, particularly in engaging disabled students and graduates.
