Virtual Workshop
Recruiting disabled students & graduates is only the first step. To help them thrive, organisations must foster an environment where they feel psychologically safe to share their needs and confident that they will receive support, not just through practical adjustments, but also through guidance, understanding, and encouragement from managers and colleagues.
Based on our new Toolkit, Disability inclusive student development, this webinar offers practical, actionable guidance for Early Careers teams, HR professionals, and DEI practitioners on supporting disabled trainees throughout their journey. It will explore how to create an inclusive onboarding experience that builds trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging from day one, the importance of inclusion during induction, strategies to equip line managers to provide meaningful support, and effective approaches to implementing workplace adjustments from the very start.
Participants will also explore approaches to creating equal opportunities for learning, career development, and progression, ensuring disabled trainees can demonstrate their potential and make a real impact. Through examples of good practice and practical advice, attendees will gain the knowledge and tools needed to build a workplace where disabled employees can thrive and succeed.
By attending this webinar, participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to support disabled trainees at every stage of their journey, from recruitment to career progression. They will gain actionable insights into inclusive onboarding, effective adjustments, and ongoing support to facilitate career development and ensure disabled trainees have equal opportunities to progress and contribute fully to the organisation.
