MyPlus Students' Club sponsorship of Charterhouse to Charterhouse Walk

MyPlus Students’ Club are delighted to be sponsoring the Charterhouse in Spitalfields to Charterhouse in Godalming walk taking place on the 19th of April 2022 by a group of ex -Charterhouse students raising money for the Mark Evison Foundation.

The event’s mission is to raise over £2500 for the Foundation with organisers and participants Will Ellis, Iona Harrison, Louis Wilson and Ross Wilson covering approximately 45 miles in 1 day, carrying 30lbs of kit. The money will help to fund awards of up to £500 for young people in London state schools or Mark’s two schools (Charterhouse and Dulwich) aged 16-18 years to plan, cost and carry out challenging non-academic projects of their own design, either in groups or as individuals.

About the Mark Evison Foundation
The Mark Evision Foundation was set up in 2009 in memory of Lt Mark Evison, a former student at Charterhouse school who was killed on patrol in Afghanistan whilst serving with the Welsh Guards regiment.

The Foundation’s mission is to promote the personal development of young people through the undertaking of challenges. Young people from London state schools and the 2 schools Mark Evison attended are invited to create and plan projects which are personally challenging. Such projects develop confidence, strength, resilience and breadth, as applicants take independent ownership of something they are keen to do. Applications are self-designed. The Foundation provide mentoring and expenses to fund accepted projects.

About MyPlus
At MyPlus our vision is to ensure that having a disability or long-term health condition doesn’t prevent anyone from having the career that they want to have. We want disabled individuals to realise their career ambitions and employers to benefit from the unique talents and strengths that disabled individuals can, and do, bring to an organisation.

As well as providing Careers advice for disabled individuals MyPlus supports employers as they seek to understand and address issues surrounding disability within their organisation, through MyPlus Consulting and MyPlus Recruiters’ Club. Much of what we do focuses on helping employers to realise new possibilities through the recruitment and development of disabled talent, with a particular focus on students and graduates.
