EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. With 130,000 people worldwide and 10,000 in the UK they are a major recruiter of talent.
EY believes diversity and inclusiveness is not only the right thing to do but that it also brings energy, innovation and creativity to the organisation.
EY wanted an objective audit of their experienced-hire recruitment process in order to ensure that it was fully inclusive and did not present any barriers to disabled applicants. The scope of the audit included all parts of the recruitment process with the exception of attraction, which had previously been reviewed.
The audit was carried out through a series of interviews with key stakeholders in the recruitment process; these included: recruitment officers, recruitment co-ordinators, hiring line managers, and agency personnel. In addition, access to various systems and documents was provided.
MyPlus Consulting presented the findings of the audit in a detailed feedback report highlighting areas of concern and recommendations on how to address these.
The recommendations were prioritised according to how great a barrier they presented to disabled applicants and the extent to which they would be prevented from applying to EY and progressing through the recruitment process.
